Jonathan Scott Injury: Left Tackle Hurts Knee In Eagles Vs. Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers starting left tackle Jonathan Scott broke the golden rule of the NFL preseason -- don't get injured.

Scott limped off the field after the very first play from scrimmage in Pittsburgh's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Replays on the Fox telecast showed the damage occurring after a helmet collided with the 28-year-old's right knee.

Scott has not returned to the game since the incident. No further details are available as of this point.

Since being drafted out of Texas in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft, Scott has served as a veritable journeyman, notching stops with the Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills before signing with Pittsburgh in 2010. The 6-6, 318 pound offensive tackle re-signed with the Steelers in late July on a one-year contract, replacing recently-cut Max Starks in the starting lineup.
