After getting absolutely crushed in the first half of their preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Philadelphia Eagles started the second half by sending out back-up quarterback Vince Young. The former Titan promptly led a four minute drive that fell apart at midfield after Ronnie Brown and Stanley Havili failed to pick up one combined yard in two tries.
Eagles Vs. Steelers Score: Steelers Maintain 21-0 Lead Heading Into Fourth Quarter
Dennis Dixon responded by leading Pittsburgh on a two-minute drive that also ended on a failed fourth-and-short attempt. Punters have officially become irrelevant in this game.
In other news, Ben Roethlisberger confirmed that it was, in fact, awful to lose a Super Bowl. Joe Buck followed by explaining that Roethlisberger just got married. Hard hitting stuff here in the NFL preseason.
Young picked right back up for Philadelphia, interrupting a half-decent Ronnie Brown-led drive long enough to throw a bullet directly into the awaiting hands of Larry Foote at the Pittsburgh 23-yard line. To everyone's delight, Terry Bradshaw disrupted a long-winded high-school story long enough to mention that it was a bad pass. He might be on to something.
The Steelers took advantage of the turnover and drove 40 yards in six plays to end the third quarter on the Philadelphia 23-yard line. Through 45 minutes, the score is Pittsburgh 21, Philadelphia 0.
