After Steelers left tackle Jonathan Scott suffered an injury after a helmet collided with his knee, his backup, Marcus Gilbert, also injured himself, also his left knee.
Marcus Gilbert Injury: Injured LT Scott’s Backup Is Also Injured
Things went from bad to worse in Pittsburgh, though the line injuries didn't stop the Steelers' offense from overpowering the "Dream Team" Philadelphia Eagles for two long touchdown drives. Few offensive lines are more important the Steelers' as the big guys protect the quarterback who holds the ball for longer than anyone else, Ben Roethlisberger.
Fox’s Pam Oliver reported the injury, but didn’t specify how severe it was or how long Gilbert was expected to be out of the action. As soon as we hear more about Gilbert’s, or Scott’s, condition, we will provide an update.
