Bengals Vs. Jets Score: Plaxico Burress Highlights New York’s 17-7 Halftime Lead

On a rainy Sunday night in New Jersey, the New York Jets hold a 17-7 lead over the Cincinnati Bengals at halftime. A 10-play, 99-yard drive highlighted the end of the second quarter. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez connected with Plaxico Burress for a 26-yard touchdown pass. The extra point put the Jets up by 10.

Burress finished the half with 66 yards on three receptions. Tight end Dustin Keller came up with two key receptions on that final drive by the Jets, including a 43-yard catch on the second play of the drive. Sanchez went 12-of-20 for 173 yards and two touchdown passes, the other a 16-yard pass to Santonio Holmes in the first quarter.

Cincinnati rookie quarterback Andy Dalton had his troubles, throwing two interceptions. However, he was able to set up a one-yard touchdown run by Brian Leonard early in the second quarter. Leonard had a 33-yard reception as well.
