If Sunday night's preseason game between the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets was any indication, Plaxico Burress is going to be a major asset for the Jets this season. After two years out of the league due to incarceration, Burress looks like he's close to being back up to NFL speed. The Jets went to him on the first play of the game; the play resulted in a first down and was the first of three receptions for 66 yards in a 27-7 Jets win.
VIDEO: Plaxico Burress, Mark Sanchez Headline Jets’ Highlights Against Bengals
His quarterback Mark Sanchez played well in the first half, completing 12 of 20 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns as the Jets steamrolled a very lackluster Bengals defense. Sanchez also targeted wide receiver Santonio Holmes and tight end Dustin Keller frequently as all three had fantastic games.
It was a different kind of game for Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton, who struggled once again. His struggles went hand in hand with those of rookie wide receiver AJ Green, who only made one reception on the night. Here are the complete video highlights from the game.
