Braylon Edwards Visiting San Francisco 49ers, According To Report

Free agent WR Braylon Edwards can come back to the New York Jets if he wants. At least that's what Jets head coach Rex Ryan said -- as long as it's at the Jets price. We're not sure what that price is, or what Edwards think about it, but in the meantime he'll be visiting the San Francisco 49ers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Edwards will be in the Bay Area on Wednesday night. The market has seemingly dried up a little bit on Edwards. There were reports connecting him to the Arizona Cardinals but it makes you wonder what he thinks about that option if he's visiting the 49ers.

For the 49ers part, that wouldn’t be a bad move, if it’s on a short-term deal. He could be motivated to play well and get back on the open market in 2012 while giving the 49ers a boost in 2011. It won’t take much improvement to win the NFC West next season so I’d be in favor of that move.

I’m sure the 49ers fans at Niners Nation will be buzzing about this.
