Pablo Sandoval: Noooo. You’re a good bat. You have love to share.
Bat: I hate them all. I wish you’d just let me wail on Matt Cain’s head for a while. It would feel so good. So good.
Sandoval: Nah, nah, nah, you’re a good, friendly bat. You gonna help me take the ball deep today.
Bat: Oh, god, no, you’re not planning on using me to help the pitchers? No! Please, no! I’ve sworn an oath. The other bats will light me on fire.
Sandoval: You help me hit two home runs today, I let you sleep in a hotel bed tonight.
Bat: Who’s pitching tonight? Bumgarner? Oh, c’mon, you can’t score runs for him. Please, my oath. Please. Just use me to take out one of his kneecaps, leave me in a corner, and no one will ever know.
Sandoval: C’mon bat. You and me gonna hit some dingers.
Bat: NO! THIS ISN’T FAIR! MY OATH! WHERE’S AARON ROWAND? HE’LL UNDERSTAND. HE KNOWS THE OATH. PLEASE, NO! PUT ME DOWN!
