South Carolina Gamecocks wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was the subject of much buzz during the offseason, as rumors poured in that he was letting himself go. One report in January even relayed news that the wideout had ballooned up to an uncomfortable 249 pounds.

Jeffery is currently at the 2012 NFL Combine in Indianapolis and putting an end to those rumors while being measured and weighed in.

NFL Draft Scout Mike Loyko reports that Jeffery weighed in at 216 on Friday at the combine. You can bet that both Jeffery’s camp and an assortment of scouts and evaluators are breathing a sigh of relief at the news. Jeffery is projected by most to be selected in the top 10 of the 2012 NFL Draft.
