2012 NFL Draft Best Available: Dwayne Allen Is Top TE On The Board

The 1st round of the 2012 NFL Draft passed Thursday without a single tight end picked. That should change Friday during Rounds 2 and 3. All five tight end prospects remain from Mocking The Draft's original ranking of the top 101 players available, including Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener out of Clemson and Stanford, respectively.

Both will be expected to drop relatively early considering the premium NFL teams have been placing on quality pass catchers from the tight end spot. After Allen and Fleener, Georgia’s Orson Charles is next best available at his position.

30. Clemson TE Dwayne Allen, 6’4, 255 pounds

33. Stanford Te Coby Fleener, 6’5 3/4, 247 pounds

42. Georgia TE Orson Charles, 6’2 1/2, 251 pounds

56. Louisiana-Lafayette TE Ladarius Green, 6’6, 230 pounds

79. Missouri TE Michael Egnew, 6’5 1/4, 252 pounds
