49ers vs. Rams, Week 13: St. Louis Fans pleased with overall performance

The Rams took the 49ers to overtime for the second time in four weeks, this time winning overtime on a 54-yard field goal.

The St. Louis Rams earned a big win at home on Sunday, beating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime thanks to Greg Zuerlein's 54-yard field goal. It was the second overtime game between the two teams this season, with neither able to score in overtime in a tie on Nov. 11.

The Rams trailed 10-2 in the fourth quarter before scoring 10 points in the final 3:03 of regulation that included Zuerlein’s 53-yard field goal to tie the game. It was an exciting end to a rather unexciting game up until that point, which is exactly what the Rams were looking for facing a strong San Francisco team.

Douglas M of Turf Show Times praises the offensive line among many of the positives on Sunday for the Rams:

The Rams offensive line was flat out stellar today. Paul Boudreau may be the most sought after assistant coach this off season. He's been a miracle worker all year long, and in this game his ability to find the best in his linemen came through. Against the best defensive unit in the NFL, the Rams offensive line stood tall and knocked heads the entire game. Sam Bradford was only sacked twice, and on most passing plays in the second half had all day to throw the ball. Game balls for this entire unit and coach Boudreau.

Bradford was 26-of-39 for 221 yards yet the offense produced no touchdowns and just 293 yards in the game. The Rams did not commit any game-changing mistakes, however, getting back into the game with a Janoris Jenkins fumble return in the fourth quarter.
