Arrelious Benn Running Again, Return Still Weeks Away

After missing weeks of training camp with a knee injury, WR Arrelious Benn’s status is still unknown.

Third-year WR Arrelious Benn was showing promise during the offseason, and the Buccaneers were hopeful that he would become a contributor to the team's passing attack. The excitement about Benn has died down since he has missed all of camp after suffering a knee injury on the first day of practice.

Benn returned to camp on Monday and Tuesday to do some running, but the Bucs are reporting that he will likely miss the remainder of training camp.

According to head coach Greg Schiano, the team will wait until after camp to evaluate Benn’s status. The team has not set a timetable for his return, though Schiano was certainly encouraged by Benn’s appearance at practice, stating, “[I]t’s good to have him back out there running and that’s the first step, getting back on the grass.”
