The Dallas Cowboys have waived running back Ed Wesley, according to Adam Caplan. He joined the Cowboys' 90-man roster just three weeks ago.
Cowboys Waive Former TCU RB Ed Wesley
The Cowboys have begun making cuts at the tailback position.

Wesley was not selected in the 2012 supplemental draft, despite working out for more than a dozen teams. Wesley was signed by the Cowboys after running back Darrell Scott failed a physical.
The former TCU standout was hoping to be selected in the supplemental draft, but admits “I wasn’t in the shape that I needed to be in at the time.”
The 5-foot-9 native of Irving, Texas was late to Friday's walkthrough, though it seems the Cowboys did not have room for Wesley anyway. He had hoped to earn a spot as the team's backup tailback, but found himself below Jamize Olawale and Javarris Williams on the depth chart.
The Cowboys now have 89 players on their roster, but they are likely to keep that spot open according to ESPN’s Todd Archer.
