After returning to the Yankees lineup for one game on Saturday, New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira aggravated his injured calf and is out again.
Mark Teixeira Aggravates Calf Injury, Set For MRI
According to New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi, Teixeira is going to have an MRI done on his calf Sunday and the team will then determine how long he will be out.
In his first game since August 27, Teixeira went 1-for-4 with a walk and a double in the team's 5-4 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday. He played the entire game before the injury began to flare up after the game.
On the season, he his hitting .255 with 23 HR and 81 RBI in 120 games this season. Given the Yankees troubles as of late, they need all of the help they can get.
