The Panthers No. 1 running back couldn’t find much room on the ground against the Bears. We break down the fantasy implications.


Jonathan Stewart remains on the PUP list, so Williams is a lock to be the starter in the Panthers backfield at this point. Carolina won’t be too concerned with the veteran’s early showing.
Fantasy impact: Williams just turned 30 in April, so his time as a solid fantasy contributor is drawing to a close. As the starter for the Panthers, though, he’s a steal at his current ADP, which is right around No. 80 overall.
Rookie Kenjon Barner looked good in his first game, but Ron Rivera and his staff will roll with Williams seeing the bulk of the load until Stewart returns. The biggest question is whether Stewart’s health will hold up this season.
