The San Francisco Giants have settled into a 2-0 lead over the Kansas City Royals through four innings in Game 5 of the 2014 World Series on Sunday night.
Madison Bumgarner dealing as Giants take 2-0 lead over Royals in Game 5
A pair of RBI from Brandon Crawford and strong pitching from Bumgarner have the Giants up, 2-0, over Kansas City in Game 5.

Madison Bumgarner has been rolling for the Giants early on, pitching four shutout innings with five strikeouts to follow up his strong performance in Game 1. The Royals have only mustered two hits on the righthander so far, although an impressive sliding play by Brandon Belt with two outs in the fourth inning saved at least one single:
The Giants tallied the game's first run on an RBI groundout by Brandon Crawford in the second inning. Belt and Hunter Pence had set up the situation with back-to-back hits before the shortstop came to bat, with Pence crossing the plate to give San Francisco the lead. The Giants' right fielder now has a hit in every game of the series thus far, and could be a possible World Series MVP candidate if he keeps this up and things go right. Crawford came through again in the fourth inning for the second run, hitting an RBI single to score Pablo Sandoval with two outs. With the way Bumgarner is pitching, that may be enough for San Francisco.
