Aggressive Giants re-take lead in Game 7

Pablo Sandoval tagged from second to third on a fly out, which played a big part in San Francisco taking the lead.

Well, that didn't take long. The Giants took the lead in Game 7 of the World Series once again in the top of the fourth inning thanks to a single from Michael Morse. Ned Yost followed through on his promise to use a quick hook, putting in Kelvin Herrera with one out in the fourth inning and men on first and third base. The reason for the runner on third base was Pablo Sandoval's aggressive baserunning; he went from second to third on a fly out, just barely getting to the base before the ball.

The change of pitcher didn’t bother Morse, of course, as he singled to right field to bring home the third run of the game for San Francisco. Hunter Pence went first-to-third on the hit, keeping the first-and-third situation in tact.

Yost wasn’t the only manager with a quick hook; the combined five innings between the two Game 7 starters is the lowest since 1947. While both managers have been quick to replace their starters, neither was able to do so before damage was done.
