This week had a couple of AFC West running backs go down while the best wide receiver in the universe (we think) is also hurt. The following is a list of all the noteworthy injuries with the new injuries listed in bold and italics:
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 6: Injuries and potential replacements
Montee Ball headlines the new injuries for Week 6. Who are the hot pickups?

Quarterbacks
Matt Cassel (out indefinitely with a broken foot) and Teddy Bridgewater (should play in Week 6), Minnesota Vikings - Teddy Time will be on Minnesota time with a home game against the Lions. Detroit has been great up front, so he's not a great fantasy option.
Robert Griffin III, Washington (targeting Week 11 return) - Kirk Cousins hasn't looked great, so it might be time to start stashing RG3.
Carson Palmer (questionable for Week 6 with a shoulder injury) and Drew Stanton (suffered concussion on Sunday), Arizona Cardinals - The Cardinals need Palmer back badly. Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald have not been producing.
Josh McCown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (could miss several weeks with sprained thumb) - Mike Glennon threw the ball around pretty well on Sunday, but that was against the Saints. He's more of a low-end QB2.
Jake Locker, Tennessee Titans (hurt again) - This is getting ridiculous. Locker can't stay on the field and it's become almost impossible to play him. Even if he's active, the risk of an in-game injury is too great. Charlie Whitehurst will likely start again.
Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders (practiced on Monday) - He should be ready to go against the San Diego Chargers. Of course, this news doesn't concern anyone in most leagues unless you're dialing up the SD D/ST.
Running back
Rashad Jennings, New York Giants (suffered a knee sprain) - The team hasn't announced a specific prognosis, but he's out for a few weeks. Andre Williams is a must-own player and you should probably use your top waiver-wire priority.
Montee Ball, Denver Broncos (expected to miss multiple weeks with a groin issue) - He has been a letdown to date and went down with an injury on Sunday. The Broncos gave Ronnie Hillman the lion's share in Week 5, but they'll activate C.J. Anderson on Sunday. Hillman is a must-grab while fantasy owners should look at Anderson and even Juwan Thompson could have some value.
Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints (could return in Week 7) - The Saints are on a bye, so Khiry Robinson is pretty much useless right now. Ingram is a very strong pickup and was going off before he broke his hand.
Donald Brown (suffered a concussion on Sunday and could miss Week 6), Danny Woodhead (out for season with broken fibula) and Ryan Mathews (targeting Week 6 return with a knee injury), San Diego Chargers - It was Branden Oliver's world, you guys. He torched an elite New York Jets run defense and will be a featured back on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. You know what that means. If you don't, just pick him up and worry about Mathews' return later.
Zac Stacy, St. Louis Rams (suffered a calf injury and did not return) - Benny Cunningham is a nice pickup, but Stacy's injury doesn't sound serious.
Joique Bell (suffered a concussion in Week 4 and missed Week 5), Reggie Bush (day-to-day with an ankle sprain) and Theo Riddick (missed Week 5 with a hamstring strain), Detroit Lions - As it stands right now, Bush and Bell should be in the lineup. They'll both be RB2s against the Vikings, but will likely be on the injury report.
Knowshon Moreno, Miami Dolphins (said he'll miss another month with his elbow injury) - Lamar Miller is a must-own player and is a solid RB2 this week.
Toby Gerhart, Jacksonville Jaguars (a foot injury knocked him out of Week 5) - He's been very ineffective, so the Jags aren't going to want to play him at less than 100 percent. Jordan Todman led the Jacksonville backs in snaps, but did not have a carry. It's crazy to say, but Storm Johnson is probably the back you want.
Jonathan Stewart (status in doubt with knee sprain), DeAngelo Williams (expected to miss multiple weeks due to a foot injury) and Mike Tolbert (out indefinitely with hairline fracture of leg), Carolina Panthers - At this point, who cares? The Panthers can't get their running game going and have a horrible schedule.
Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills (suffered a minor ankle sprain) - He's fine.
Wide receiver
Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions (could be shut down with an ankle sprain) - Uh oh. His fantasy owners should have a backup plan ready with Megatron likely out for a couple of weeks. Golden Tate is going to flirt with WR1 value.
Michael Crabtree, San Francisco 49ers (limited in Week 5) - He had two surgeries on his left foot and only played in 59 percent of the snaps on Sunday. Fantasy owners should probably sit him down until further notice. Stevie Johnson is worth a look in deeper leagues.
Rod Streater, Oakland Raiders (out indefinitely with fractured foot) - James Jones is locked into the WR1 spot for Oakland and caught six balls for 83 yards in Week 4. The Week 5 bye probably helped Andre Holmes, who is a solid target.
Vincent Jackson (played through a wrist injury) and Mike Evans (out 2-3 weeks with a hamstring injury), Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jackson lit it up and he's officially no longer a buy-low target. Expect Austin Seferian-Jenkins to look better after his one-catch Week 5.
Marqise Lee (has missed the last three weeks and could miss more) and Cecil Shorts (aggravated his hamstring injury again and is questionable for Week 6), Jacksonville Jaguars - Allen Robinson saw 11 targets and looks entrenched as the top option.
Jarrett Boykin, Green Bay Packers (did not play in Week 5 due to a groin injury) - He's fallen behind rookie Davante Adams, who scored a TD in Week 5. This has timeshare written all over it, which is not a desirable situation for a team's WR3.
Harry Douglas, Atlanta Falcons (out with a foot issue) - He won't have value while Julio Jones and Roddy White are in the lineup. Devin Hester is also too boom-or-bust to count on.
Tavon Austin, St. Louis Rams (missed Week 3 with a knee injury but played Week 5) - Brian Quick is the better young receiver on their roster, obviously. He’s a must-own player.
Tight end
Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings (out four weeks with groin injury) - Their passing attack doesn't look great.
Jordan Reed, Washington (could return in Week 6) - Reed should be back and he's probably going to get his job back, too. He's a solid pickup if you need a tight end.
Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers (uncertain for Week 6) - He didn't get ruled out until just before Week 5, so he could have a chance to play. Davis shouldn't be on any waiver wires.
Tyler Eifert, Cincinnati Bengals (not expected to return until Week 10 with elbow injury) - Jermaine Gresham literally dropped his opportunity.
