The Seattle Seahawks will officially be without running back Marshawn Lynch for Monday Night Football against the Detroit Lions. The Seahawks downgraded him to out, which means he will be inactive on Monday. Rookie running back Thomas Rawls will start in his place and veteran Fred Jackson will be the primary backup and third down back.
Marshawn Lynch ruled out for MNF, fantasy owners need to adjust
The Seattle Seahawks have made a decision on the status of Marshawn Lynch. We break down the fantasy football implications of his deactivation for Monday night.

Fantasy impact: Lynch was listed as questionable after missing all three practices this week, but chatter out of Seattle was not positive. Lynch’s fantasy football owners likely had to make a decision prior to now because of the late nature of the Seahawks’ game.
If you were able to handcuff Lynch with Rawls, you are in good shape. If you did not get Rawls and chose to roll the dice that Lynch would play, your options are limited. If you have an eligible player to drop, you can pick up Fred Jackson. His strength is in blitz pickup, which gives him a boost over Rawls on third downs. You can also find one of the reserve running backs on the Lions, Cowboys or Saints. The Cowboys are expected to activate Christine Michael for a small package of plays. Dallas has rolled out a host of running backs this year, so there are some options.
