As if the Dallas Cowboys needed more injury problems, running back Lance Dunbar was forced from Sunday's game with what looked like a serious injury to his left knee. Dunbar hurt himself on the opening kickoff of the second half of the Cowboys' 26-20 overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Lance Dunbar carted off with knee injury; fantasy owners cringe
It’ll be Monday before we know for sure what happened to the Dallas running back’s knee, but it didn’t look good. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dunbar, whose contributions to Dallas had been primarily through his receiving work, had no receptions Sunday night, but did have three carries for a team-high 54 yards before his injury, which caused him to be carted off. He sits now at 282 yards from scrimmage on the season.
Fantasy impact: We'll learn more about the seriousness of Dunbar's injury Monday, but it seems likely if not probable that he's done for 2015. It's a crushing blow to a team that is already without quarterback Tony Romo and No. 1 wide receiver Dez Bryant for at least the foreseeable future.
While Dunbar had less obvious relevance to fantasy to start the season, his abilities in the passing game had kept him helpful, particularly in PPR leagues. He was looking like a fair-to-better flex option, and that's obviously gone now. In his absence, Joseph Randle likely won't see much more work, since he was the team's top running back anyway. An extended injury could, however, create more space for No. 2 running back Darren McFadden to have more work on his own.
