Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is probable to play against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. He had a groin injury and missed last week.
Eddie Lacy fantasy football injury update: Should get carries behind James Starks
Eddie Lacy will play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Lacy has already been passed on the depth chart by James Starks. The Packers expected to have a straight split with Starks and Lacy, so it's certainly not an appealing scenario. Lacy was selected first overall in fantasy drafts and has been a massive letdown to date. He's not even an RB3 in most formats.
It’s not a great matchup for the Packers with the Vikings doing a much better job against the run these days. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will also likely be looking to bounce back from a horrible Week 11.
Fantasy impact: As crazy as it sounds, Lacy probably needs an injury to Starks to go back to being a must-start back. He should still be owned in all leagues just in case he figures it out this weekend. Bench him for now.
