Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman only made it three carries into Sunday's game. The second-year back was forced from the game after suffering a concussion on a helmet-to-helmet hit early in the Falcons' 24-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts Sunday and didn't return.
Devonta Freeman suffers concussion; fantasy owners cross their fingers
The running back was forced from the game early Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Freeman had 43 yards on his three carries. In his absence, rookie Tevin Coleman had 48 rushing yards on 17 carries, and third-string Terron Ward added two rushing yards on two carries of his own. Fullback Patrick DiMarco was maybe the biggest beneficiary of Freeman's absence, as he caught two touchdown passes among his three catches for 21 yards.
Fantasy impact: We’ll see how Freeman does going through the league’s concussion protocol over the course of the week; the good news is that the Falcons don’t play in one of the three Thanksgiving games. Freeman, who has been the top running back in the NFL since seizing the starting role in Week 2, would be a big loss both to the reeling Falcons and to fantasy owners.
Coleman will handle the No. 1 running-back duties if Freeman can’t go in Week 12; the rookie looked fine before getting hurt in Week 2, though it’s unlikely he could have a ceiling like Freeman’s in him. Keep a close eye on Freeman’s progress over the week.
