After being called "on the probable side of questionable" leading up to Sunday's game, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was a surprise inactive Sunday with an abdomen issue. Rookie Thomas Rawls filled in for Lynch in the Seahawks' 29-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Marshawn Lynch scratched Sunday; fantasy outlook growing murkier
The veteran running back is expected to see a specialist Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Lynch is expected to see a groin specialist Monday to evaluate his issue -- possibly a sports hernia -- further. Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said it might be until Wednesday before more is known. Meanwhile, Rawls filled in admirably for Lynch, with 255 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in Sunday’s blowout win.
Fantasy impact: On the one hand, the Seahawks probably knew they didn’t really need Lynch Sunday, as the 49ers are a team made up of castoffs at this point. On the other, though, the fact that Lynch is going to a specialist indicates this injury is more severe than all that. There were rumors Sunday night that Lynch could be facing surgery, which would have a shot of ending his season.
We aren't to that point yet, obviously. For now, it's day-to-day on Lynch, though there has to be some pessimism that he'll play in Week 12, when the Seahawks host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Every Lynch owner should have already owned Rawls, though the fact that he's only 30-percent owned in Yahoo! leagues as of Sunday night shows that didn't happen. Rawls' ownership needs to get to 100 percent as soon as possible.
