After three straight monster games as the Kansas City Chiefs' starting running back, Charcandrick West started off a bit cooler on Sunday. Things got worse from there, as West was forced from the game with a hamstring injury. The Chiefs ultimately beat the San Diego Chargers 33-3.
Charcandrick West injures hamstring, fantasy status day-to-day
The Kansas City running back was hardly missed on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

West had 11 carries for 16 yards in the game. He also caught two passes for 48 more yards. Without him in the game, second-year back Spencer Ware filled in and had a huge affect, with 96 rushing yards and two scores on 11 carries, plus 5 receiving yards on one reception.
Fantasy impact: Head coach Andy Reid said after the game that West was day-to-day with his hamstring issue. It was described as a strain, which is incomplete information, but could mean anything from an absence of a couple days to a handful of weeks. The Chiefs won comfortably Sunday, meaning there was no need to rush West back, so the best we can say right now is to stay tuned for more news on the injury.
Knile Davis was a healthy scratch Sunday, now behind West and Ware on the depth chart. If West is out, odds are good Davis will see the active roster again, but Ware looks to be the biggest beneficiary. He should be added in most leagues, at least until we know more about West's status.
