Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon sprained his left knee Sunday. The rookie didn't return and was replaced by Denard Robinson in the Jaguars' 51-16 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
T.J. Yeldon leaves with sprained knee; fantasy status unclear going forward
The Jacksonville rookie has had a fine rookie season, but the injury could hold him up. We break down the fantasy implications.

Yeldon had 62 rushing yards on 11 carries before the injury, adding one catch for one yard. Replacing him, Robinson had 75 rushing yards and a score on 14 carries, and also had a 12-yard reception. Yeldon’s injury didn’t appear to be a major one, though, barring a surprise playoff run, the Jaguars are down to the last three games of their season.
Fantasy impact: If the Jaguars had lost Sunday and closed the door on the playoffs, they’d likely go ahead and shut Yeldon -- who has been battling injuries most of his rookie season -- down for the rest of the way. As they hold on to slight playoff hopes, though, they might feel the urge to rush Yeldon back if he’s able to go. We’ll learn more about the rookie’s status Monday.
Assuming Yeldon misses at least some time, Robinson, who had a strong run of games as an injury replacement a year ago, would be an interesting add in all fantasy leagues. Robinson would get virtually all the team’s running back touches with Yeldon out, and would be a No. 2 running back in most leagues the rest of the way.
