Fantasy football rankings 2015: Defense/special teams, Week 15
Here are our consensus Week 15 defense/special teams rankings.
Of course, the Seattle Seahawks are at the top of the staff's rankings. Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs will likely continue as a top five defense against a Baltimore Ravens team led by Matt Schaub. You know the defenses you can trust. However, there are some teams with lower ownership that should absolutely be started in Week 15.
The Houston Texans are owned in 61 percent of Yahoo! leagues as of Tuesday. They should be owned in more leagues for Week 15. The Indianapolis Colts will have quarterback Matt Hasselbeck (rib, arm) at less than 100 percent or they'll have Charlie Whitehurst. Either way, it bodes well for a team that is looking to bounce back from the abuse from The Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are owned in just 15 percent of Yahoo! leagues and face a St. Louis Rams offense that can't seem to do much in the passing game. Of course, the Buccaneers will need to limit running back Toddy Gurley. They were able to hold Devonta Freeman to 47 rushing yards in Week 13. Freeman hasn't been as dominant lately, but Gurley has been shaky as of late, as well. The point is, Tampa Bay is a fringe top 10 play in Week 15 available in most leagues.
The Miami Dolphins (owned in 23 percent of Yahoo! leagues) are the sleeper of the week. They face the San Diego Chargers, who have scored just three points of offense in three out of their last four games.
Of course, there are plenty of other options out there to consider. Hopefully our Week 15 rankings can help you move closer to a fantasy championship.
