There’s a lot of talk about Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman not being a scheme fit, but that looks to be false based on how he looked on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Falcons led off the night with running back Devonta Freeman getting the early carries, but the team went with Coleman as the game went on.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 2: Tevin Coleman
Tevin Coleman got off to a decent start in Week 1. Should his fantasy owners have higher hopes in Week 2?

Coleman out-snapped Freeman 45-28 in the game and was busy between the 20s. The bad news is that Freeman saw the red zone touches and had four targets to Coleman’s two. As for the big numbers, Coleman had 80 rushing yards on 20 carries while Freeman put up just 18 on 10 carries. Clearly, Coleman was the better back last week.
This week, the Falcons get another favorable matchup against the New York Giants. While the Giants may have looked to shut down the Dallas Cowboys on the ground, they were destroyed in the passing game and that was probably part of the plan for Dallas.
Fantasy impact: Coleman looks to be the guy and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan will want to run the ball. Coleman is a solid RB2 this week with upside.
