Eddie Lacy left Sunday night’s game after suffering an ankle injury late in the first quarter against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. The Packers got good news about their running back on Monday. His injury is a minor ankle sprain, and he could be ready to play next Monday when the Packers take on the Chiefs, according to Ian Rapoport.
Eddie Lacy expected to return next week for Packers Monday night game
The Packers dodged a bullet on the injury report this week.

Lacy had to be carted to the locker room to be looked at by training staff during the game. He had three carries for 9 yards before leaving the game. There’s no word yet about his timetable to return.
The injury left the Green Bay Packers with the reliable James Starks as their primary ball carrier, and he would be first in line to fill in should Lacy not be able to play in Week 3. Starks can be a capable replacement, and the offense still has Aaron Rodgers under center. Still, Lacy has become an important weapon for Green Bay in both the running game and the passing game. Last season, he had 1,566 total yards from scrimmage and 13 total touchdowns.
Lacy’s injury was one of just several injury setbacks for the Packers. Wide receiver Davante Adams left the game briefly with an ankle injury, while defensive tackle Josh Boyd was ruled out with another ankle ailment.
The Packers weathered the injuries Sunday night, pulling off a 27-17 win over the visiting Seahawks.
