Week 3 is upon us. We now have two weeks to digest, which helps us make a little more sense of which performances were flukes and which were worth taking seriously. Still, two weeks is a small sample size. When it comes to fantasy defenses, there are a few teams which are proving to be strong commodities.

Here are our consensus Week 3 defense/special teams rankings.
The New York Jets, for instance, are quickly proving to be a top fantasy defense. The Jets fell in the top five in each of the first two weeks of the season. They’re facing a Philadelphia Eagles offense that has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to defenses this season. The Denver Broncos are also among the top teams this week. They’ve been a top fantasy defense through two weeks, and they’re facing a Detroit Lions offense that can put up points on the scoreboard but is prone to turnovers. The Seattle Seahawks fell out of favor a bit in Week 2 due to their matchup with the Green Bay Packers. However, they’re facing a Chicago Bears offense led by Jimmy Clausen in Week 3. The Seahawks are our consensus number one option in Week 3.
