The Houston Texans have likely been having fanciful dreams of the return of running back Arian Foster from his groin injury. But on Sunday, second-year back Alfred Blue helped ease the pain of Foster’s absence, with a huge game in Houston’s 19-9 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Alfred Blue has big game in last hurrah for fantasy owners
The second-year running back had a huge game Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Blue -- who came into Sunday with 48 rushing yards across two games -- ran for 139 yards and a score on 31 carries. He was the bellcow, with fellow running backs Jay Prosch, Jonathan Grimes and Chris Polk combining for 14 carries and 48 yards behind Blue.
Fantasy impact: Enjoy that, Blue and Blue owners, because it’s the last you’ll likely see of it, at least for a while. Foster appeared to have a chance to play Sunday, and looks even more probable to make his 2015 debut in Week 4. When Foster is back on the field, Blue will sink to the background.
Blue hasn’t shown any sot of consistency in his two years in the NFL. That said, it’s almost impossible to predict health for Foster, and if/when he does get hurt again, Blue will likely become the Houston bellcow again. After Week 3, he’s not much more than a handcuff, but an important one.
