It was a slow start to the Indianapolis Colts tenure of running back Frank Gore, with 88 rushing yards, less than 4 yards a carry and a lost fumble through two games. He finally made his mark on Sunday, reaching the end zone twice in the Colts’ 35-33 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Frank Gore scores twice; fantasy owners breathe sigh of relief
The veteran running back found the end zone for the first time as a Colt. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gore ran the ball 14 times for 86 yards, nearly double his season yardage total and raising his yards per carry by more than 2 yards a touch. He got all but two running-back carries in the game, with Josh Robinson taking the other two for 8 total yards.
Fantasy impact: It was easy to predict an improvement for Gore, with the Colts having played Weeks 1 and 2 against the stout defenses of the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets. It was nice to see it happen so quickly, though. This game should put Gore back solidly in the range of low-end fantasy starting running backs.
The Colts play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4. Gore will be ranked in the mid-teens at the position.
