Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams left Sunday’s game against Washington after suffering a knee injury in the third quarter. After making a short grab, Adams appeared to have his leg rolled up on by tight end and teammate Richard Rodgers. The Packers ruled him questionable to return.
Davante Adams suffers knee injury vs. Washington, questionable to return
Davante Adams was in the midst of a good game against Washington.

Before leaving, Adams was one of quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets with four receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown that gave the Packers the lead before Washington took it back in the third quarter. He was relatively quiet during the regular season after many predicted a breakout campaign, but was having little trouble getting open against Washington’s secondary.
If Adams continues to sit, the Packers will rely much more heavily on James Jones, already their No. 1 target, and Jared Abbrederis, a young wideout who has struggled with injuries since being drafted by Green Bay in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
In a close game, an already-hampered Packers can’t afford to lose many more weapons.
