Wild Card Weekend ended with a pair of Sunday wins by the Seattle Seahawks, who survived the Minnesota Vikings 10-9 in the bitter cold of Minneapolis, and by the Green Bay Packers, who fought back from down 11-0 to a 35-18 road win over the Washington Redskins, meaning all four road teams won during Wild Card weekend for the first time in NFL history.

Steelers OL coach has playoff fine rescinded

    Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The $10,000 fine that Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak received for his part in a sideline scuffle during a playoff game between the Steelers and the rival Cincinnati Bengals has been rescinded, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Munchak was originally fined for yanking Reggie Nelson’s hair when the safety approached the Pittsburgh sideline. His hand clearly pulled on Nelson’s dreadlocks, whether intentionally or not, which resulted in both a penalty on the Steelers and the fine.

Roethlisberger day to day with ‘sore’ shoulder

    Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

“It’s definitely sore,” Roethlisberger said. “I think it’s a little bit better than it was, but we’re still going to just take it day-by-day.

“I’ll go in tomorrow with the intent to see what I can do,” Roethlisberger said. “I honestly don’t know. I haven’t tried to throw a football since the game, and maybe that’s not even the right thing to do right away. I’ll see the doctors and trainers tomorrow, we’ll evaluate kind of how I feel.”

‘Heartbroken’ Bengals still lashing out on Porter

    Andy Lyons/Getty Images

The Steelers were trailing 16-15 as the fourth quarter neared its end, and with 22 seconds remaining in the game they were on the Cincinnati 47-yard line. Two ill-timed penalties against the Bengals advanced the Steelers 30 yards, giving them a chip shot opportunity to win 18-16.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said both Burfict and Jones were “heartbroken” by the outcome on Saturday, adding that he didn’t believe Burfict’s hit on Brown crossed a line.

‘Book of Mormon’ crowd breaks into Seahawks chant

While the Minnesota Vikings were driving down to set up a potential game-winning 27-yard field goal, hundreds of people in Seattle had taken their seats for a “Book of Mormon” afternoon show. As the show was about to start, the crowd got very excited and broke into cheers, but it wasn’t for what was about to be on stage.

According to the person who uploaded the video, the theater had just announced a 30-second to show warning and asked the crowd to put away their cell phones. Obviously, no one did that and instead they all followed along as Blair Walsh shanked the 27-yard attempt and the Seahawks escaped with a 10-9 win.

Rodgers said Packers would be ready & he was right

    Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers had many doubters heading into the playoffs. They were coming off a loss in Week 17 that gave the Minnesota Vikings the NFC North title, and a week before that, they suffered a humiliating defeat to the playoff-bound Arizona Cardinals.

“I have confidence in those guys and myself that when it matters for all of the marbles we’re going to show up,” quarterback Aaron Rodgers said after the 38-8 loss to Arizona.

    PETE CARROLL TACKLED A WHITEBOARD

Pete Carroll was excited before the Seahawks took on the Vikings -- really excited. In fact, the 64-year-old coach was so fired up he tackled a whiteboard, scared his players and came off as “crazy” to those in attendance. Sports Illustrated has the story, which began with a little reminiscing by Carroll about his time as a safety.

    Then this happened ...

Pacman Jones accuses Brown of faking concussion

    David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

“Man, Antonio Brown was not hurt,” Jones told Patrick on Monday. “I know he was faking it. Go back and look at the play. If you go back and slow-motion the play, you tell me that Vontaze [Burfict] hit him in the head. Or did his shoulder pad barely touch him?”

“I think he deserves a Grammy Award for that one,” Jones said, who was corrected by Patrick to say it’s an Academy Award that he meant. The cornerback also said that Brown winked at him after suffering the injury.

Pacman and Burfict are so good, but so risky

The Cincinnati Bengals were beating the Pittsburgh Steelers, and were en route to a victory. Then, a pair of needless penalties doomed them. First, linebacker Vontaze Burfict was flagged for hitting Antonio Brown with this shoulder-to-helmet hit:

It was a pretty textbook call. Burfict’s hit was late and aimed at the head of a defenseless receiver. And it was dangerous: Brown has a concussion.

With Kirk Cousins and Washington’s inevitable exit from the playoffs, you had to know it was coming.

Packers fans ask Cousins if he ‘likes that’ loss

Kirk Cousins became a bit of an Internet sensation earlier this season when he asked the media one simple question: YOU LIKE THAT?

Green Bay wins, 35-18, over Washington.

    Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Rodgers threw for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Kirk Cousins threw for over 300 yards and a touchdown. Green Bay wound up with over 100 yards rushing, with Eddie Lacy picking up 63 yards and a touchdown and James Starks picking up 53 yards and a touchdown. They played more consistent football and Washington, who hosted this game due to a victory in the NFC East despite a worse record, is now out of the playoffs.

Washington game out swinging in the first half, though they ended up with fewer points than they should have thanks to a mistake by DeSean Jackson. He almost scored a touchdown, but held the football in the wrong hand and just missed it. That forced Washington to settle for a field goal.

Packers win to set up showdown with Cardinals

The Divisional round schedule and bracket are complete after the Green Bay Packers came back to beat Washington on Sunday. The win meant that all four road teams won on a Wild Card weekend -- a feat that had never been accomplished.

Road teams will not have it so easy next weekend. All four Wild Card winners will have to travel once again. The Packers go to Glendale to take on the No. 2 seed Arizona Cardinals. Earlier in the day, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Minnesota Vikings to earn a date with the No. 1 seed Carolina Panther in Charlotte. Wins by the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday set up bouts against the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos, respectively.

Davante Adams suffers knee injury vs. Washington

    Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams left Sunday’s game against Washington after suffering a knee injury in the third quarter. After making a short grab, Adams appeared to have his leg rolled up on by tight end and teammate Richard Rodgers. The Packers ruled him questionable to return.

Before leaving, Adams was one of quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets with four receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown that gave the Packers the lead before Washington took it back in the third quarter. He was relatively quiet during the regular season after many predicted a breakout campaign, but was having little trouble getting open against Washington’s secondary.

Some Vikings fan thought Blair Walsh made the FG

The Blair Walsh missed game-winning kick was a heartbreaking end for Minnesota Vikings fans. The miss itself was pretty obvious to most fans in attendance and everyone watching at home with the luxury of the best view possible.

Washington chanted ‘YOU LIKE THAT’ after TD

Washington put on a clinic early on against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. For starters, what at first looked like an easy Packers’ interception became a stellar one-handed grab by Jordan Reed. That later became a Reed touchdown.

But the real kicker is that Washington erupted in ‘YOU LIKE THAT’ chants.

Jordan Reed’s one-handed grab against the Green Bay Packers not only looked sweet, it also likely saved seven points.

Casey Hayward was aching to take that pass the other direction. It didn’t look like there was anyone between him and the end zone. Reed THEN capped the drive by burning the Packers secondary for a 24-yard touchdown reception.

Jackson forgets to carry ball into the end zone

Washington jumped out to a 5-0 lead against the Green Bay Packers. While that is a fine start, Washington should have a 9-0 lead had DeSean Jackson simply shifted the ball slightly on a near touchdown.

That was very close to a touchdown. In fact it was initially ruled a touchdown. After review, however, it was determined that because Jackson held the ball in his right hand, it never crossed inside the pylon and because his feet came down out of bounds the ball was out at the 1-yard line. It wouldn’t have taken much for him to bring the ball inside the pylon.

Win probability charts from the playoffs look nuts

The last two games of Wild Card weekend have been pure insanity. You know this if you watched the endings of Steelers-Bengals and Seahawks-Vikings on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, respectively. If you didn’t see how those games ended, then a quick look at win probability charts from both game can tell you a lot.

Near the end of the third quarter, the Steeler led 15-0 and were near-statistically guaranteed to beat the Bengals. The Bengals turned fortunes in a hurry, however, and after AJ McCarron hit A.J. Green for a 25-yard touchdown to give them a 16-15 lead and backup Steelers quarterback Landry Jones threw a bad interception, their chances of winning were 95.9 percent according to Pro Football Reference.
