The Steelers committed the worst turnover of the postseason until the Bengals topped it on the next play
It appeared the Bengals had just clinched the game when they intercepted Landry Jones with less than two minutes to play and a 16-15 lead.
Vontaze Burfict was so confident he had just sealed the game, he took off running and kept going, all the way into the tunnel.
It was a crucial and extremely costly mistake that for a moment appeared to end any chance the Steelers had to come away with a win.
At least for one play.
On the very next play, Jeremy Hill fumbled and the Steelers recovered.
Just like that, it’s a ballgame again. Somehow. For most of the game, the Steelers appeared to be in firm control. They held a healthy 15-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and Cincinnati was struggling to muster anything. Then all of a sudden, three Bengals scores completely flipped the game. While there has been some sloppy play, the fourth quarter should go down as one of the best in the long history between these teams.
