The ninth week of the 2016 regular season is just about coming to a close with only the Monday Night Football game remaining. Most fantasy football leagues will run their waiver wires late Tuesday or early Wednesday, but we are here to help you get a jump on the best options to consider.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Defense/special teams rankings for Week 10
The waiver wire begins late Tuesday, so it is time to figure out your best options. We’ve got rankings for all four major positions: QB | RB | WR | TE | DST
Week 10 features four teams on bye, which will have a major impact both on positional players and defense/special teams units. We’ll rank out a few D/ST streaming options to get you ready for Week 10. Throughout the week, we will update each of these articles as ownership percentages change (via Yahoo!) and news arrives.
Waiver wire D/ST rankings, Week 10
1. Atlanta Falcons (46 percent owned)
The Falcons play a struggling Philadelphia offense that has failed to score more than 23 points since their bye. Look for Atlanta to capitalize on the Eagle’s offensive struggles.
2. Houston Texans (42 percent owned)
Houston faces a very inconsistent Jaguars offense coming off of their bye. The defense should be well rested, and capable of handling a Jacksonville offense that has failed to live up to it’s hype thus far.
3. Baltimore Ravens (40 percent owned)
Baltimore plays the Browns next week. This alone makes Baltimore’s defensive unit worthy of a start.
4. Washington (10 percent owned)
Coming off of their bye Washington plays a sputtering Vikings team that has failed to score more than 16 points since Week 7. Sam Bradford has struggled to produce this season, and the Minnesota running game has been an ineffective RBBC. Look for Washington to hold firm against the struggling offense.
5. Chicago Bears (two percent owned)
The Bears face Jameis Winston in Week 10, who has been generous with the turnovers this year against stronger pass defenses. The Bears have shown surprising stoutness in their defense this year, and should have a good chance at forcing turnovers against Tampa Bay.
