The 14th week of the 2016 regular season is just about over, with only the Monday Night Football game remaining. Most fantasy football leagues will run their waiver wires late Tuesday or early Wednesday, but we are here to help you get a jump on the best options to consider.

We will be ranking the top five players likely to be available in your league at each of the major positions. Some weeks there might not be five good options available, but we’ll scour for the best we can find. Additionally, throughout the week, we will update each of these articles as ownership percentages change (via Yahoo!) and news arrives.
Waiver wire running back rankings, Week 15
1. Matt Asiata, Minnesota Vikings (46 percent owned)
Asiata is mired in a timeshare with Jerick McKinnon in the Minnesota backfield. However, he continues to hold moderate value due to his decent volume and scoring potential. He rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown, while adding 14 yards on two receptions in the Vikings’ win over Jacksonville. He also lost a fumble. Asiata should continue to hold some standalone value through his modest usage.
2. Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans (46 percent owned)
There have been rumblings from Tennessee that the Titans would begin to employ Henry in short yardage and goal line scenarios, which would definitely help his value. The Tennessee running back rushed for 42 yards on 12 carries in the Titans’ win over the Broncos. Henry would have immense value if DeMarco Murray were to miss time for any reason — however, he has some value even playing as the backup. The Titans may begin to increase their usage of the rookie running back as they try to make it to the playoffs.
3. Bilal Powell, New York Jets (44 percent owned)
Matt Forte exited the game early with a knee injury, allowing Powell to become the workhorse running back. He ran for 145 yards and two touchdowns, adding 34 yards on five catches in New York’s overtime win over San Francisco. Powell should have earned himself more carries, as the Jets will likely split the carries more evenly as Forte recovers from his injury.
4. Ty Montgomery, Green Bay Packers (36 percent owned)
Green Bay’s rushing attack has been poor all season long, but Montgomery is the best option in a backfield that has been largely ineffective. In addition, he has value as a receiving option. Montgomery rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown, and he caught three passes for 45 yards in the Packers’ win over the Seahawks. Montgomery has proven that he deserves both carries and targets in a strong Green Bay offense.
5. Kenneth Farrow, San Diego Chargers (three percent owned)
Farrow entered the game to replace the injured Melvin Gordon, who may miss time/ temporarily play in a limited role moving forward. The San Diego running back had a fairly strong showing in his first substantial playing time of the year, rushing for 55 yards, and adding 23 yards receiving on six catches in San Diego’s loss to Carolina. Farrow will likely be the only feature back available on the waivers, and will be the must-add player for this week.
