The Lions running back is expected to be the featured player in the team’s backfield. We explore the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Detroit’s current offensive backfield is full of injuries, and Washington could end up taking over much of the workload this week against the New York Giants.
The Lions running back has only 261 total yards this season, but he averaged over four yards per touch during the team’s win over the Chicago Bears last week.

Yahoo is projecting Washington to end Sunday with just 56 total yards on 14 touches. But if Detroit’s top two running backs — Theo Riddick and Zach Zenner — end up not playing, Washington may be worth a start for some fantasy owners this week.
