The 15th week of the 2016 regular season is just about coming to a close, with only the Monday Night Football game remaining. Most fantasy football leagues will run their waiver wires late Tuesday or early Wednesday, but we are here to help you get a jump on the best options to consider.

We will be ranking the top players likely to be available in your league at each of the major positions. Some weeks there might not be many good options available, but we’ll scour for the best we can find. Additionally, throughout the week, we will update each of these articles as ownership percentages change (via Yahoo!) and news arrives.
Waiver wire quarterback rankings, Week 16
1. Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers (33 percent owned)
It may not mean much, but Kaepernick has improved every week since his pitiful performance in Chicago back in Week 13. The 49ers quarterback passed for 183 yards and two scores, while adding 21 yards on the ground in San Francisco’s loss to Atlanta. Kaepernick will have a good chance to post a strong performance against a struggling Rams team, the only team that San Francisco has beaten this year.
2. Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens (29 percent owned)
Flacco went through the first 12 weeks of the season with two games in which he passed for more than one touchdown. However, he’s passed for at least two touchdowns in each of the last three weeks. The Baltimore quarterback had 206 yards and two scores, but he also fumbled once and threw an interception in the Ravens’ win over the Eagles. Flacco will face a beatable Pittsburgh defense in Week 16.
2. Robert Griffin III, Cleveland Browns (three percent owned)
Griffin struggled in the passing game, but was able to showcase some of his running ability in his third start with the Browns. The Cleveland quarterback passed for 196 yards, and added 48 yards rushing, and a score on the ground. Griffin will face a San Diego defense that is stronger against the run than the pass, and he should have a chance to have a good passing day.
4. Matt Barkley, Chicago Bears (three percent owned)
Chicago has performed admirably with Barkley under center, and he’s shown that he can move the ball, passing for more than 310 yards twice in the past four games. The Bears quarterback had 362 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions, and he lost one fumble in Chicago’s defeat to Green Bay. Barkley was able to produce despite the turnovers, and he should continue that trend next week against Washington.
5. Matt Moore, Miami Dolphins (one percent owned)
Moore had a very strong performance against a weak Jets secondary in his first start of the year. The Dolphins backup passed for 236 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception in Miami’s win over New York. While the Dolphins will face a tougher Buffalo defense in Week 16, Moore should have more upside than other desperation plays.
