After having a very impressive rookie year in the NFL last season, Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley has come back down to Earth in 2016.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Todd Gurley could finally explode out of his shell
The Rams’ running back has struggled majorly during his second season in the NFL. We explore the fantasy implications.

Gurley ran for at least 100 yards in five games last season, but he has yet to accomplish that feat once this year. The running back has also only been able to get in the end zone five times in 2016, compared to the 10 touchdowns he scored last season.
Fantasy Impact: So will Saturday be the first time Gurley returns to playing like the running back he was last year? Well he has a good opportunity to do so against a weak San Francisco 49ers defense.
in 2016, the 49ers are giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. During San Francisco’s last four games, the defense has allowed the position group to score a total of nine touchdowns.
Yahoo! has Gurley projected to end Saturday with 98 total yards and one touchdown on 23 touches. If there was ever a week for fantasy owners to give the running back another chance this season, Saturday’s matchup is just as good of any.
