The San Diego Chargers have ruled out Melvin Gordon for the team’s Week 16 matchup vs. the Cleveland Browns.
Melvin Gordon injury update: Chargers RB out vs. Browns, for fantasy owners
Melvin Gordon’s hip injury continues to plague him in the final weeks of this season.

Gordon is still recovering from a hip injury that sidelined him last week. He has not practiced since suffering the injury in Week 14, and it looks unlikely he plays again this season.
It would be a tough break for Gordon, who would finish 2016 just 3 yards short of his first 1,000-yard rushing season. After a dismal rookie campaign, Gordon rebounded to become one of the top fantasy running backs this season. He still ranks sixth in fantasy points per game among running backs this season.
Fantasy Impact: As long as Gordon is out, Kenneth Farrow is a viable fantasy option, though Ronnie Hillman is also getting touches. Farrow led the team with 14 carries for 39 yards in last week’s loss to the Oakland Raiders. Hillman went for 37 on just seven carries.
Neither is worth starting this week.
