On Friday, the Minnesota Vikings announced that running back Adrian Peterson would not be playing in the team’s game on Saturday against the Green Bay Packers. With the announcement, the team’s backup rushers in Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata will be seeing increases in their snaps this week.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Stay away from Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata
Minnesota’s backups will be seeing more action on Saturday with Adrian Peterson out again with an injury. We explore the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Whoever ends up starting in the backfield for the Vikings on Saturday was already going to have a hard time producing against a tough Packers defense.
Green Bay is giving up the 11th-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2016. The Packers have only allowed one player from the position group to score a touchdown in their last four games.
Combine this with the fact that Minnesota has not even managed to gain over 1,000 rushing yards as a team this season and there is no reason for any fantasy owners to be starting a Vikings running back this week.
