Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliot returned to practice on Tuesday afternoon. The Cowboys’ 2016 first-round pick has been nursing a hamstring injury for almost two weeks and missed the team’s first preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams last Saturday.
Ezekiel Elliott returns to practice, should still be a top fantasy option
The Cowboys’ top 2016 draft pick returns to the field after recovering from a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

For the 2016 season, Dallas is expecting big things from its rookie running back and it is certainly a positive for them that he is back on the practice field.
Fantasy impact: As of right now, Elliott has a higher ADP in 12-team standard league’s than Le’Veon Bell, Eddy Lacy and LeSean McCoy, among others. The news of his return to practice should come as a relief for those fantasy owners who were considering drafting the young running back in the first few rounds.
After rushing for over 3,600 yards and scoring 41 touchdowns for Ohio State in the last two years, Elliott figures to be the top option for the Cowboys in 2016. If everything works out, he will be a top option for many fantasy owners in 2016 as well.
