Miami Dolphins’ rookie running back Kenyan Drake returned to practice with the team Tuesday for the first time since injuring his hamstring on August 5, according to the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley.
Kenyan Drake back practicing with Dolphins, fantasy value very low, if any
The Dolphins’ rookie running back has returned to the practice field for the first time since August 5. We explore the fantasy implications.

The Dolphins will likely ease Drake back onto the field as this is already his second hamstring injury since being drafted by the team back in May.
Fantasy impact: Already a late round flier, Drake’s inability to stay healthy this offseason does not bode well for his 2016 fantasy value.
He will be competing with fellow Miami running backs Jay Ajayi and Arian Foster for touches on offense this season. Drake’s best fantasy production of 2016 will likely come if or when Ajayi or Foster miss time during the year due to an injury.
However, with the Dolphins now being led by offensive guru Adam Gase as their head coach, it would not come as a surprise if Miami has a few packages in their playbook that feature Drake. But until the season begins and more is revealed about Drake’s involvement in the Dolphins’ offense, he remains a late round fantasy selection at best for 2016.
