Washington’s rookie wide receiver Josh Doctson figures to be ready for the team’s first 2016 regular season game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to the team’s coach Jay Gruden on Tuesday. Washington’s coach went on to elaborate that Doctson could even be ready to play in the team’s final preseason game on September 1st.
Josh Doctson to expected to be ready for Week 1, fantasy value remains low
Washington’s 2016 first round draft selection could be ready for the regular season after all. We explore the fantasy implications.

This is good news for Washington and their rookie receiver, who is recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered during the spring.
Fantasy impact: With injuries keeping him sidelined for most of the summer, fantasy owners have been shying away from taking a chance on Doctson for 2016.
His potential for the future is sky high, but for now Doctson’s injury risk makes it hard for owners to take a chance on the young receiver in any draft round. 2017 may be a better fantasy year to snag Doctson anyway, as he will be competing for targets in Washington’s offense this season with the likes of Jordan Reed, Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson.
