Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie kicker Roberto Aguayo has struggled a bit in the team’s first two preseason games and now his poor play is making its way onto the practice field.
Roberto Aguayo now struggling in practice, fantasy value quickly sinking
Tampa Bay’s rookie kicker is not playing up to his expectations this preseason. We explore the fantasy implications.

For the amount that the Bucs have invested in their rookie kicker (drafted in the second round), it is very concerning that he is struggling this much before the regular season has even begun. If it continues into the season, Tampa Bay might consider looking elsewhere for a new kicker.
Fantasy impact: Before the preseason, Aguayo could have been considered by some fantasy owners to be their team’s kicker for 2016. Eyebrows raise when a kicker is selected in any round of the NFL Draft, let alone the second round.
For a kicker that never missed a field goal attempt of inside 40 yards during his college career at Florida State, one can rationalize why the Bucs used such a high draft pick on Aguayo.
But with his preseason -- and now practice -- struggles, fantasy owners should keep away from the rookie kicker until he starts consistently making kicks again.
