Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who needs to be in your fantasy lineup or on the bench for an AFC East clash. If you’re looking for more advice before Thursday Night Football, check out the Rotoworld Fantasy Football Kickoff show from 3-3:30 p.m.

Start ‘em

Brandon Marshall is coming off of a successful outing against the Bills, racking up a hefty 8/126/1 line in 2015’s finale, and has 26 targets over his last two meetings with them. Eric Decker also enjoyed success against Rex Ryan’s defense, combining two contests into an 11/135/2 line on 20 targets. He’ll likely play second fiddle to Marshall, but he will have a chance to get his. Consider him a Borderline WR2/WR3 for Thursday night.

Matt Forte is also firmly in the “start” category after dispelling any concerns over a timeshare with Bilal Powell in Week 1. Forte turned 27 touches into 155 yards, and it’s only a matter of time before he finds the end zone. This usage garners RB1 consideration without hesitation.

LeSean McCoy will likely have a tougher time than Forte this week, since he has to repeatedly come face to face with a stone wall of a Jets defensive line. But McCoy’s heavy usage and touchdown potential makes him a better start than most running backs in fantasy, although his floor is lower than usual for Week 2. Consider him an RB2 with upside.

Start ‘em?

It was a disappointing outing for Tyrod Taylor, who needs to make his patented splash plays amid a run-first offense in order to rack up fantasy points for his owners. He did anything but in Week 1, failing to keep his offense on the field and racking up a paltry 111 yards and zero touchdowns. With Sammy Watkins very questionable, owners outside of two-QB leagues should consider other options.

Sammy Watkins continues to battle a foot injury, and now has to do battle with a short week in addition to the Jets defense. If he suits up, his effectiveness should be in question despite hogging much of his team’s receiving yards, few that they were in Week 1. After what A.J. Green just did to Darrelle Revis, Watkins owners should rightfully be frustrated by the news. Robert Woods deserves flex consideration if Watkins is a no-go, and Charles Clay would also get a boost, but fantasy owners can do better.

Sit ‘em

Ryan Fitzpatrick has thrown five interceptions over his last two meetings with the Jets and failed to crack 200 passing yards each time. He’s not worth consideration in standard-formatted fantasy leagues this week.
