Kenyan Drake expected to start for Dolphins, better fantasy bet than Jay Ajayi

The Miami Dolphins will be without running back Arian Foster in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. In his place, the team will play rookie Kenyan Drake and second year back Jay Ajayi. NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted Sunday morning that the Dolphins are treating Drake as the starter. In Week 1, Drake had no rushes, while Ajayi was inactive. In Week 2, Drake had two rushes for 12 yards and Ajayi had five rushes for 14 yards

Fantasy impact: There is no word on any kind of time share, but one would expect some kind of split. The Browns defense is a bad one, so there is some value if you are short-handed due to the myriad of running back injuries in recent weeks. That being said, if you have other options for this week, it might be best to take a wait-and-see with Drake and Ajayi. Given how the Dolphins have handled Ajayi these first two weeks, it is safe to say Drake has the better long-term keeper value.
