GGG vs. Jacobs live stream: How to watch the Golovkin fight online
Danny Jacobs will try to hand Gennady Golovkin his first career loss on Saturday.
The WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, and IBO middleweight titles will be on the line at Madison Square Garden on Saturday when Gennady Golovkin takes on Danny Jacobs in one of the most anticipated fights of the year.
Headlining the HBO Boxing card, Golovkin and Jacobs will take place via pay-per-view beginning at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday. The fight headlines a packed card that features another exciting bout between Roman Gonzalez and Wisaksil Wangek for the WBC world super flyweight championship.
An online stream of the event will be available via RingTV.com for $64.99. The stream will include the full undercard.
Golovkin is undefeated as a professional boxer and has 33 wins via knockout in 36 career fights. He last suffered a decision in June 2008, a unanimous decision win over Amar Amri that earned him his 13th career win. He’s 36-0 and heavily favored in Saturday’s fight.
Jacobs can’t claim unbeaten status, but his record is nearly spotless. He has 32 career wins, 29 of which were via knockout, so he rarely sees decisions, much like his opponent. But he did lose to Dmitry Pirog via TKO in July 2010. Still, he’s knocked out a score of opponents since then and hasn’t been subject to the judges since August 2009.
In other words, these guys hit hard and they hit accurately. Smart money is on a finish either way, though Golovkin is the heavy favorite. He has been more consistent and has the experience over Jacobs.
Gonzalez recently bested Carlos Cuadras, taking the title from him. Cuadras will also be on the card in a 10-round fight against David Carmona as he looks to get back into the win column.
