2017-18 New York Knicks preview: There can’t possibly be as much drama this year. Right?

Knicks fans have had it rough the last 12 months. Can they at least get through a year with minimal drama?

Knicks fans are ... well, there’s been a lot of drama, and they’re just trying to look on the bright side. Seth Rosenthal and Kristian Winfield from SBNation.com join us for this free-flowing Knicks preview. Topics include:

  • The mood of the fanbase in a word, which is ... not negative, but not exactly positive either. It’s been that weird of a year.
  • Carmelo Anthony’s played his last game in New York, right?
  • Compared to previous sequences of Knicks’ drama, how optimistic are they that things will turn out better this time around?
  • Is everything fine with Kristaps Porzingis now that Phil Jackson is gone? What do Knicks fans need to see from him in his third year? What is the ideal starting lineup for him?
  • It’s too early to say that Frank Ntilikina over Dennis Smith is a mistake, right? (Right.)
  • What should folks be looking for that may not be super obvious unless they watch the Knicks very closely?
  • If you could add one player from Knicks’ history to add to this team, who would it be? Plus, a lot of other silly follow-up questions, mostly thanks to Mike Prada.
  • Who is on your all-time Knicks banana boat, i.e. the three players in Knicks’ history you’d want to vacation with? Seth Rosenthal: “Cheikh Sahm would like me. I feel like we’d get along.”
  • Best case, worst case, leading scorer, predictions, and all that jazz.
