Limited Upside NBA podcast: The Carmelo Anthony trade emergency podcast
We brought the band together to dissect yet another NBA blockbuster.
On Friday, we released our Oklahoma City Thunder season preview podcast. A day later, the Thunder traded for Carmelo Anthony. Whoops!
So as a follow-up to our original OKC preview, we brought Eddie Maisonet from The Sports Fan Journal and FOX Sports back on to talk through Sam Presti’s blockbuster deal. Among the topics:
- Did this move surprise us?
- How much does this trade actually shake up the West’s power structure? Does it really do much?
- How this kind of move is out of character for OKC ... at least before this year and they got desperate. (Tom Ziller explained this further here).
