Georgia QB Jake Fromm had a fishing lure stuck in his leg

This is Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm’s leg, and that is a fishing lure:

That’s a grab from Fromm’s Snapchat, posted Friday by Dawg Nation. Country music singer Jordan Rowe posted an Instagram story video of Fromm, where the quarterback was on his phone and apparently in good spirits. Hopefully he’s doing as well as he looks here:

Fromm is an avid fisherman. He participated in a big college fishing tournament in Guntersville, Ala., in early March, and lost to a couple of Tennessee students in what might be the lone case of losing to Volunteers of his whole college career. The fishing tourney wasn’t NCAA-sanctioned, and Fromm’s team finished in 234th place. I really just wanted to make a crack about Tennessee finally beating him. Hopefully you chuckled!

Fromm heads into the summer as Georgia’s clear No. 1 QB, now that former five-star Jacob Eason has transferred to Washington. The Dawgs have another five-star in true freshman Justin Fields joining the QB room this year, but this should be Fromm’s job for a while as long as he doesn’t have any fishing equipment permanently attached to his body.
